HELP! - Need sites in OK and AR to get us home

After almost 90 days on the road our luck has run out. We need suggestions for a decent campground for an overnight in western/central OK near I-40 -AND- need some place near Monticello, AR. Need full hooks, prefer pull through...just 21' TT and 30A...nice place...not a Mom and Pop special. We've run the internet and have come up buttkiss! Fellow traveler's...what'cha got? And thanks in advance for sites!

We stopped at Double D RV park in Texola, OK, Exit 1, it is just off I-40. Don't expect a lot, because there's not a lot around but has a diner up front. Closes around 7 pm as I recall. Foods ok. Nice folks who run it. After they close the restaurant, they go home and leave check in to honor system. A board for that up front. Seemed safe enough. It was ok for a night stop over. BTW, they are a Passport Am, we stayed for about $14 or so. Sorry I don't have anything around Monticello, AR. If I come across anything Ill let you know.

The only nice campground I can think of any where near Monticello is going to be Moro Bay State Park, but it’s 45 minutes away from Monticello. This area is very rural and almost any “Mom and Pop” places will be those that are set up for temporary workers.

If you still haven't found anything, try Oklahoma RV Park & Campgrounds | OKC Camping Site | Wanderlust Crossings RV Park. Beautiful RV park, 1 year old, 1/4 mi. off I40. Stayed there last fall.

Cane creek State Park by Star City. Just north of Monticello.

Download the Allstays app. We use it on our iPad. Works really well.

X2 on Allstays Camp and RV app.. the best but one time payment of $10 for the app. There is also RVparky app for free, similar to Allstays and works for most but not as extensive as Allstays.

I use it on my iPad and it is a great app for finding those campsites along the way or anywhere you may wish to visit someday...

El Reno Lake RV Park. A decent City campground, just west of Oklahoma City on I-40. $15.00 for W/E or $20.00 FHU. First come first serve, pay the Iron Ranger.

Uhhhh On RVParkreviews alone there are a couple of dozen parks listed on I-40 with a good part of those getting a 4-5 star rating.

We go to El Reno once or twice a year to run Field Trials and stay at the lake, the west side had full hookups. No frills but nice enough. We have stayed at Mustang in Yukon and it's excellent.

Check Twin Fountains RV Resort in OK City. We're doing a FROG event there in October.

The only park near Monticello Arkansas

Near Star City in Arkansas is a State Park. It is called Cane Creek State Park. It is a little north of Monticello. We haven't stayed there but it has 4 plus star rating. Here is their website. https://www.arkansasstateparks.com/p...4#.UVH8zHcW1ok

We use the ParkAdvisor App.

The KOA on the east side of Oklahoma City is where we stay when going through Oklahoma. Right off interstate at Choctaw Rd.

You can turn South on 35 and at Ardmore there is Lake Murray State Park. A beautiful park you will want to go back and spend time. I think it cost us $20 or 25.

I was going to say Cane Creek Star City. State park, dump station.

There are several KOA's on I-30. Not my favorite place to camp, but handy.

It is Labor Day Weekend...the last official weekend of summer.

Might have a hard time finding an open spot anywhere other than a Walmart parking lot.

And even those might be full!

OP...what did you find?

This place is west of OK City about 70 miles just off the I-40. Large sites.
