Hey that's my neighborhood. I'll watch for an extra camper. :P You should check out arrowhead which is just over the hill a bit. That's where I try to get to. I'd prefer that over manawa any day.

In Kerrville, Tx. this weekend and heading north through Iowa on my way to Minneapolis. We are taking the slow trip home to the U.P. of Michigan.

Badger Ave just before you go up the hill. BIL has a new house on the hillside but I would have to back up a very long drive so that is not in the picture. I understand Neola is pretty nice. They were supposed to move the RV sites from the south side of Manawa to the north side but no money so they decided to shut it down completely for now.

Adventureland is a nice campground. We've stayed there many times.

I've heard from a few about manawa but I've never camped there. I think I know the house you speak of. Fairly new at the top of the hill with a long up hill driveway and if memory serves a big antenna on top. It's the north side of dead mans land (for Verizon anyway). I was just over that way last night having my mower serviced. Hopefully I get it back today. Another new house under it by the road.
Arrowhead will fill up especially in warm weather but if you go in on Wednesday night you can pick your spot. Thursday night you still get great choices. Friday night take what's left. Great crew there too.

You found it. I haven't been there since BIL built the house on the hillside a little over a year ago. He is a Ham and that would be his radio antenna, that is the reason he is on the hill. I am a ham as well. BIL retires the end of this month as Director of Buildings and Grounds for IWCC. The house at the bottom of the hill closer to the road is my nephews. That is an old family farm since before 1900 about 50 acres.

I think I'll be up there this fall for some refreshers. When I drove by tonight to check on the mower I noticed he had the whole driveway paved. I bet that wasn't cheap.

Are those fancy "custom" racing stripes above the rear fender wells on the Turbs towing-mobile? Sure looks like rust from here!
(Sorry dude, but you started it)
