Kentucky Horse Park, Georgetown, KY

This is located a small distance north of Lexington.
We spent the last 2 nights camping at the campground adjacent to Kentucky Horse Park. Sites are all paved but we were surprised how narrow they were. But nice area of grass between sites. Many nice trees, mowed nicely, has 4 dump stations, also has a pool. Restroom facilities were just so-so. There are over 250 campsites. It is right off of I-75 so an easy on-off place to stay. Camping fee is $30 per night (for electric and water). But if you want to go to Kentucky Horse Park (which we would HIGHLY recommend) you then get $4 off admission (brings $16 per person down to $12) and free parking ($3) at the park. We had a lovely time at the horse park. And you don't have to be a horse fanatic to enjoy it. Such an enjoyable experience with the museums, a couple of horse shows, and seeing all the other horses.
