Lake Murray, OK questions

I am trying to plan a trip to Lake Murray State park in OK in September.

I know they do not allow reservations, but would I be pretty safe getting a spot on a Friday and staying until Sunday toward the end of September.

Also where's the best place for the atv trails, i was planning on taking my sxs and maybe my sons quad to run the trails with.

Any additional information would be great

I can help. I live about 5 miles away. Their is an atv park on the north side of the lake with very nice camping facilities. Doubtful to have trouble finding a spot now in Sept. Check this site out. http://www.riderplanet-usa.com/atv/t.../ride_9e0c.htm. The only negative is this north side of the lake is not as pretty as the southern end. Hope im not too late in reply and u have a great trip.

Cedar cove about mid lake has some of the brst lake views. Buzzard Roost has some real nice spots as well. Neither of these have atv riding there. U will need to trailer your machine to the park above(10-15 min)
