Mall of America

Howdy all!

First time poster, long time lurker.

The Mrs and I are heading to the Mall of America this weekend and can't seem to find one small bit of information - is there a shuttle from the RV parking lot to the mall?

We know there's no overnighting, so we are camping at an RV park down the road. But we are planning on then driving back to the mall for shopping, and since we have no toad yet - we'll be driving the RV.

A look at the map, plus the weather forecast, and we were trying to find out how to catch a ride from the RV parking lot to the mall itself.

Any other tips would be greatly appreciated as we're pretty much RV virgins.

Thanks!

Check with the RV Park you are staying at to see if they offer rides. If not, they should be able to hook you up with some kind of shuttle or bus service there and back. How far is the Mall from your campground?

I went to the MoA about 9 years ago on my way back from Japan. Stopped in to see a friend and we went there. Boy am I glad my wife was not with me. We may still be there!! Seriously though, it's a pretty neat place.

I think the RV lot is just across the street from the Mall, so wouldn't be more than a 1/4 mile walk. Or, park to the east side of the Mall near the Light Rail line and there is a place you can get on the train and goes right into the mall-- could even park over by Fort Snelling and catch the Light Rail-- thats even fun to ride and it goes "under" the airport from Ft Snelling to the Mall.

Gotcha, thanks hotrod - exactly what I was wondering. Sheesh, they made it sound like we had to park in the boonies.

EdJr - I told her we were only staying three days...we'll see if that holds.

MOA is a fun place to visit and a terrible place to actually buy stuff. It's so dang big, you will be hauling your packages with you forever. Tons of shuttles to the mall from various places as most of the people that visit the mall are from out of town.

This link mentions info regarding RV parking
