Black Hills Trailside Park
We stayed here last year. It close to Hill City and also close to the highway, but we brought our bikes and wanted to ride the Michelson Trail and the trail literally comes thru the park. We were on the road 40 days this trip and these were the nicest bathrooms we saw. It's close to everything and you have to eat at the Alpine Inn. Where can you get a fillet dinner for $12 and the deserts are to die for. Of all the places we visited on this trip, I thought the Black Hills offered the best sites to see. Needles Highway, Crazy Horse, Mt. Rushmore and of course the wild donkeys at Custer St Park. The town of Custer is an interesting place too. I'd get a car and see all you can. Great place to visit. Oh, and don't forget the carrots.
