Road to Goshen IN for rally

Just wanted to let everyone know that is going to Goshen for the rally that I90/I94 in the area of the I65 junction is an ongoing mess. On I 90/I94 both around mile marker 13 and about 34 in Indiana lanes are taken out of service for construction and the traffic really backs up. Of course this is part of the section you have to travel when going East to catch either the toll road I80 or route 20. So plan on some delays and frustration if you must travel this route.

I80 was a mess last year too. I hate thinking about traveling that section, but coming from Iowa (Quad Cities) there are not a lot of options. Two yeays ago I bypassed the Indiania tollroad, but still hit construction/detours, but now I'm towing a 5r, so I have to be careful of heights. I guess we just have to suffer through it and hope it does not put us too late getting into Goshen. I'm sure I'll be ready for a cocktail when we arrive.

I was thinking of taking I-70 to Indy and up 31. Is that a reasonable route? I was trying to stay away from I-80 and I-94.

How about 30 from Joliet to Warsaw then up to Goshen

We will also be coming from Quad Cities (visiting friends pre-rally) and this year would like to take a more scenic or quiet route. Extra miles do not matter. We are penciled in for early arrival August 10th. Would this route in the title work?
