Snow-Rain-Cold

It's supposed to be winter up here in Minnesota We've had the snowiest December on record and a few days way below 0, like -15 with windchills in the - 40, and right now it's 40 above and raining. The problem is the rain has no place to go with all this snow and is pooling. It's going to turn cold the next few days and we're going to be in a real mess. We were planning on heading out of here, but this could really hold us up. The snow we can handle, but not this.

Good luck with things. Sometimes I think we have it rough here, then I hear from you, acadianbob, and our Canadian friends, and appreciate the weather we have here. I don't think this area could take -15 degree weather. Our water pipes are not buried deep enough, and many other problems would crop up.

We can handle the snow, it's all the ice.

Snow is fine. The wind is what gets us. I have a small driveway with a snow blower. So it would have to be pretty bad.

I feel for ya. I did 13 months in Goose Bay Labrador one day, got a touch of frost bite and my fingures still hurt when it gets cold. It was -70 in January and snow in June. It was 75 in central Texas today, golfing was great.
