Question Somewhere to go???

Looking for somewhere to go in Indiana,Kentucky,Illinois or maybe Iowa starting May31. Kind of looking around Louisville so maybe southern Indiana or mid-north Kentucky. Any suggestions?

Lake Rudolph in Santa Claus, Indiana is really nice especially if you have kids.
We spend a week there every year.

We just got back from 3 nights at Cave Country RV Resort in Cave City, Kentucky. It is located about 80 miles south of Louisville right off I-65. It is about 10 minutes from Mammoth Cave National Park and about 30 minutes from Beech Bend Amusement Park and the Corvette plant and National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The campground was immaculate and there was a lot to do in the area without it being terribly crowded, even on the holiday weekend. If you like to relax AND be active, it is a pretty cool place.

Thanks to both of you for your suggestions. Phoneman06 we took your advice and headed to Santa Claus, In. My wife 4 yr old and myself and we loved it! Spent a day at Holiday World it was a blast, loved the Wildebeest! Took a short drive to Louisville and toured the Louisville Slugger factory (can cross that off my bucket list) and then took a day to drive around southern Indiana and ended up in French Lick, home of Larry Bird. All in all a great last minute trip thanks to your suggestion.

Mike06081969 I looked at the place you mentioned and was afraid to drive that far because I had read alot about flooding in the area and didn't want it to be a bust. Thanks for the heads up, we will definatley make it there soon. Maybe next year if we don't head to the black hills area.

I have some really good memories from the Black Hills. My Granddad loved to travel and camp and we spent 3 weeks driving and camping when I was 16. We spent 3 or 4 days in the Black Hills then. What an awesome place. I want to carry my kids there before they get too old. Luckily, we didn't see much evidence of flooding except righ along the Green River in the National Park. It wasn't flooded then, but there was still a lot of mud where it had been flooded. Cave City itself was unaffected. I don't blame you though. I checked out the park in Santa Claus myself and it looks pretty nice. We might take a weekend up there before long.
