Just stayed at Grand Gulf Military State Park last weekend. Forfeited my 2nd nights fees just to get out of it. 🤪

Once they close up for the evening, you’re done. No cell service, television no campfires...no nothing.
Our plan was to visit Vicksburg and Natchez the next day but thankfully we arrived at camp early enough to discover what a long night was ahead of us. We had an early dinner and went to Vicksburg that evening to see if it was worth the second night. Didn’t need to go back so we took the TT to Natchez and on to New Orleans the next day.
No refunds.

I agree. We went to Vicksburg in may and what a total disappointment. We stayed 2 nights and got out of there.

Vicksburg downtown would be great if they could find a way to get tourist in. Mostly vacant.
Natchez was another waste.
At least I can say that I’ve driven the Natchez Trace from end to end but, I wouldn’t do that again either.
