Travelling to Texas from International Falls. Mn in January. Would like to stay overnight in our Windjammer. Not sure if we have to get a hotel and if not where would we park for the night. I've heard some motels have an RV space with a plug-in for a reduced price. We will probably take five days for the trip. Any suggestions for us snowbirds? I realize it may be like boon docking.

If I'm understanding you correctly, you are just wondering where to stop each night on the way? I find the easiest way to find quick stops is to map out a route and look at own websites to see if they have a town park with hookups? I know our little town of 1200 people has a nice park with FREE electrical and a dump station/water fill and know of several others in the area. Otherwise, many campgrounds are open year round but may not have water in colder months.
If I didn't understand your question than I just wasted your time reading this

Texas is a big state, what areas are you interested in? I have used this site RV Park Reviews :: Home
to peruse what others have thought of the campgrounds. This should give you a good idea whats out there and what they offer as far as amenities and price.
We know where we are staying in Texas, it's where to stay overnite on the way. There's always Walmart. We drive through Minnesota, Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma and into Texas. It's a drive almost straight south. In the past, we have stayed in Motels, but, looking at places where we could stay in our WJ.

Many states now have casinos and they usually allow camping in their parking lots (some even have full up campgrounds). All charge something, but most charge a reduced rate to encourage you to spend some coin in the casino.
Be prepared for overnight dry camping. Dump and flush anytime you can and keep about 1/2 tank of water for flush and washing duties. Always keep your battery charged. Buy a small generator (there are very cheap - but noisy - 1K ones at Harbor Freight and the like) to charge you up via a dedicated battery charger. (Using your onboard converter will take too long).
