Where'd My Lake Go?

In early May two years ago these campsites were under two feet of water. As a matter of fact, two years ago the COE put an eviction notice on our door as rising waters threatened our campsite. This year the lake seems to be missing. This is the lowest I have ever seen Lake Carlyle. Oh well, at least I'm camping.

My lake, Lake Huron is not at a all time high but last summer regained years of drought. The North Channel on Geogrian Bay where my Daughter works at a Summer Lodge has normal depths for large boats again. I certainly feel for our RV brothers and sisters in CA and westward where lakes are dry. Hoping for some Rain!!

At least that lake has water. California lakes are at all time lows some are at this time only at 6% of capacity. 4th year of drought and no end in sight. Another year like this and all the lakes will be dry. At least I have a well for my water.
