10" square net on wall

We just got a 2018 Forester 3271s and it has this net thing screwed to the wall in the dinette area. Every Forester I've seen has one of them. What is it or what is it for? My wife and I think it is ugly so we took it down. Now I have four screw holes to cover.

Thanks. I don't think I ever would have thought of that.

We use it to hold magazines and for the RV park information we are generally given when check in.

X3 - Phone charger should be right above it (on the 3011DS anyway) .

Even in a camper I seem to lose the remote.

We removed that net thing and put up a cork board and our $25,000 wanted poster from Tombstone, AZ.

I found that when I put the remotes in the net area, the net was so tight, it would hold the remote buttons down and kill the batteries in the remote. We only have a note pad in there now.

I had thought of the buttons, battery issue. Does putting the remote in buttons toward the wall solve the problem?

I didn't help either way. The net is too tight. It's brand new, so maybe in time it will stretch a little.
