2013 E450 #3051S Slide Manual Operation?

I recently purchased my first Class "C" motorhome after owning two Class A's. My question after reading the generic manual and realizing more information is needed.

What type of electric slide mechanism is used on this full slide model?

Is there a way to manually operate the slide if the system totally fails?

Reco might be to search the word "slide" on this and the Sunseeker forum. There have been a lot of posts on this topic that should answer all your questions. Not trying to be rude but there has been so much here on this topic (especially lately) that you will learn more and faster.

Schwintek. Lots of how to videos on YouTube. Supposedly just disconnect motors to disable brakes and it'll push in or out. I think you just unplug at the control box (brain). Can't remember where that box is on that model, but I've read it on here somewhere. I have the manuals, but not on this iPhone. Somebody's posted them on here before. I did on some thread.

Schwintek InWall Slideout System

Wednesday, I was able to find the motors in the top of the slide mechanism. I also watched the videos that are very detailed and helpful if you have a problem. Last summer I assisted a couple with a new RV Trailer that had a slide failure. We did remove the one screw from each motor, lifted them and were able to push the slide in easily. The owner then braced the slide from the inside so he could tow his trailer back to his dealer.

What I learned new from the videos was information about the slide controller. This I did not know because at the time owned a Newmar DutchStar. But downsized last month to my first Class "C". The controller provides LED codes and can be by-passed by pushing a button 7 times then holding. This normally allows the slide to close using the wall switch.

All great information to have on hand.

Thanks for the reply's everyone!
