2014 e 450 Sunseeker 2860 tires

I have 14500 miles on Rv never sits other then dec Jan fen Evan then it's started a moved up and down driveway. Question is tired I have Michelin let 225/75r16 on it. All tires look like there starting to crack on outside wall. Always run 70psi front80 rear.

How old - I mean the tires, not the MH, its stamped on the tires. Maybe dry rot.

Tires are original how do you read the tire code for date

The last four digits are the Date Code portion. 0513 means they were manufactured in the fifth week of 2013. So call it late January or early February 2013. I'd have my local Michelin dealer take a look at them.

They match the build time of the recalled Michelins but not the sizes listed on the recall notice we got. Who knows but fingers crossed there will be the same great news for you that we got. We still can't get over the incredible luck of 5 brand new free tires. Luke a (small) lottery win.

similar to Oldsmasma. Tires were starting to show cracks. 5yrs old. ( MH tires should be changed at least every 5 years). When I was checking around for new tires, I found my Michelins were recalled. Got 6 new tires free. even after 35,000 miles..

Are you sure that 70psi is the proper pressure for the front tires ???

If the OP is running between 4380lbs and 4880lbs weight on his front axle then 70psi is the correct pressure for the Michelin tires he has. If he is running higher than 4880 up to the max axle weight of 5000lbs (I assume since he has a E450 that 5000lbs is his max front axle weight) then 75psi is the max pressure he should have for his tires.

You have the same tire I assume LT225/75R16.

The tire chart does say Max Tire PSI 80. However the front axle weight of 5000lbs max, for my E450 and I assume for the OPs E450, calls for a max 75psi if you are loading to the max for the axle. If you overload the axle beyond 5120lbs then the Michelin chart says the tire max is 80psi.

Door sticker on my MH says 75psi max fronts, of course that is based on loading front axle to the axle max of 5000lbs.

I got the chart for this tire directly from Michelin just a few days ago. The chart is dated 20151020. These numbers are exactly the same as the chart in the Michelin 2011 data book.

So I guess I will go back to the original thought, for the Michelin 225/75R16 tire, that if you only load your front axle to between 4380 and 4880 then the tire pressure you want is 70psi.

I weighed my MH a couple of days ago and found, at least for now with what I load, my front axle is at 4760lbs so I will adjust my front tires to 70psi.
