2016 Sunseeker MBS 24H - Water Pump WEAK

Hello,

I have a 2016 with only 15,000 miles on it. Pretty much like new. Even when on electric power, the water pump pushes only a trickle stream of water - unless it's hooked up to city water. Then it's acceptable.

Can't go boondocking with that. Anyone have this problem or an idea of the cure? Air in the line? Filter somewhere? Bad pump?

What sayeth the group...

Jay

I took the “aerator” things out of the faucets (just left the screens in). Helped significantly.
Pump pressure and therefore flow is still significantly lower than on city water.

FYI, Jim

I think what I would do is first check and ensure the suction side of the pump is tight and that the antifreeze valve is turned to potable water and not partly open to antifreeze (if installed). If you are getting good flow when on CW I doubt the aerators on the faucets are clogged. JMHO

Check the screen on the pump and all fittings. If everything is good, upgrade your pump.
We went with a bigger pump with more psi (55) and gpm (4 or 5?) and am much happier. Now we prefer to run off the pump even when at full hookups (we fill the fresh tank and don't hook up the shore water). The pressure is better and much more reliable than most RV parks.

Low pressure

My experience has been fitting on suction side getting air.
