2018 3011DS Question frig error code

I was at a FMCA rally last week and when I broke camp to head home my wife started hearing a very faint "Beep". It was a while before I could pull off and I found that the beep was from our Norcold side-by-side fridge. I was getting an error code (NiOp) the manual said that I had an over heat condition and I should contact the dealer, it was a condition that the owner could NOT service. I had been on shore power for several days and I guess this happened when I switched over to LP.
OK, so I was able to get home before all my food went bad. then I started calling dealers and service people in my area and am getting answers like - we didn't sell it we won't service it, or we can make an appointment in January, or we don't do warranty work.

Has anyone had this happen and what did you do?
Has anyone fixed this themselves?
I am in the South Richmond, Va. area, I found a small RV repair place that will get me in in a week, but it's cash only, will the factory refund me?
Any idea what it will cost if it's just a reset?

Thanks for any thoughts.

Call the manufacturer and ask for an approved service company in your area. Your manual should state the warranty period.
