2021 2501TSF - Location of LCI OneControl/MyRV WiFi Gateway

Hi ALL

I'm new here. I just bought a Forester 2501TSF.

Does anyone know where they install the LCI OneControl/MyRV WiFi Gateway in the 2021 Forester 2501TSF? I've searched everywhere but I can't find it.

Mine is not sending WiFi signal so I think it is not powered on. To troubleshoot further, I need to have access to it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

It's hidden and unless you work on the FR assembly line you're not allowed to see it.

JK.

The wifi router can be installed most anywhere. Very non-standard. On my Forester it is behind the Jensen coach radio. I have seen it installed in the cabinet under the kitchen sink. A hint on where to start looking is the router is almost always installed on the same side that the One Control panel is located.

Start on that side by first opening every cabinet and view every open spot. Then, remove any panel or accessory to view behind it. I saw one unit that had the router behind the OC panel.

Good luck and please come back with a report on if/where you found it.

My RV WiFi Gateway was under the queen bed. Had to unscrew the board under the bed. I found it because I was looking for the gravity water fill hose, it was backing up filling the water tank, had a kink. The Gateway password was mounted to a board with other One Control modules. It lays on top of the fresh water tank.

This is on a 2018 Forester 2291S.

Thanks for sharing your ideas. I found after another hour or two of searching. It was under the bathroom sink, above the top drawer, on the exterior wall on opposite side of the coach from the LCI OneControl LCD touch panel.

It's getting 12 volts of DC power, but one of the two data feeds from the main LCI panel seems to be dead. I'll add it to my growing Warranty list.

Thanks for your ideas.

Regards,

I too was looking for the Wi-Fi gateway and found it behind the Jensen radio. It was a real easter egg hunt.

Just purchase a 2021 22sw-l and all I had installed was a (wifi/cellular) prep kit with no antenna.

Check your roof for an antenna or an antenna mount prep.

Good luck

On our 2022 G20FBS

The LCI OneControl was definitely hidden on this model!! If I hadn't found this forum, I would probably just think we didn't get this option on our trailer!! Since so many others said theirs was hidden, I searched harder.

Ours was located in the area below our sink area but was difficult to get to as it was up and behind the sink! In order to get to it, I had to remove the drawer and then reach in with my phone so I could get a picture of the label that has the password!

Not sure why Forest River can't at least put the sticker on the inside of the cabinet so it can be accessed a lot easier. Our WiFi Gateway was easily accessible.

Tow Ball

Just had to know what a G20FBS was. It is a Geo Pro single axle bumper pull trailer. It’s actually kind of cool. Can we tow it?

Congrats on your first post.

I guess it all depends on what you drive?
