Although I don't know if this still applies for the new coach radio unit. This was when everything operated from the dash unit.
Even still a sound bar sounds like an easy and better solution.
EXCELLENT! Thanks

1. Playing a DVD thru the Jensen dash radio will produce Suround sound thru the overhead speakers.
2. Watching OTA TV and Satellite will have sound coming from TV's speakers only. Or can those RCA plugs at the TV be changed to produce sound from overhead speakers??
That's how I believe it works.

Also not to clear at the end of the video but the front-rear fader is set to full rear.

My point exactly Brian. Look how many steps it takes to "watch TV". WHY? It could have easily been engineered better. Your having to play with the fader is exactly what I was saying about how the system is set up and balanced for someone sitting around midway and facing the windshield. Picture our rig with someone sitting midway facing the "side" window. The overhead surround speakers are 90 degrees out of phase to your ears.

The sound bar will fix it easily and inexpensively, but will let you know some time next week at the rate I am going now.

Another thought on the surround speakers......

We have the recliners in our curb side slide out and the TV is opposite us in the dinette slideout. The surround speakers are ALL located in the ceiling in front of us. Somebody may be surrounded, but not us LOL.

You can also get sound bars with wireless subs (you can replace the existing one) and have pretty decent sound inexpensively.

2801 USB charging station

I made it out to my rig today and got a few things done, put a handle on the screen door, added the "buddy" remote to the converter and I can confirm it is the 9260.
I mounted a Victron battery monitor on the wall by the solar controller. Too wet to get underneath to run the wire to the battery box.

I did pull the usb charger off to see what's up and noticed it has a small power switch and green light that comes on. It's a 5 amp sealed unit and all my ports are working. And the light switch did not have to be on .
As for surround sound I guess I just consider it basic car audio quality, I have a 5.1 tv system and a 7.1 theatre at home and I'm sure a new head unit, amps and speakers would make a huge difference. A sound bar with a centre speaker would be great.

Sgtlm17, thanks again for that great tip on the TV sound rerouting back to the dash radio and overhead speakers. It works for me!

Tombsy go to this thread and look at pic of my 9260 converter. Is it like yours? Where did you plug in charge wizard?

Hmm not sure, did you take the case off? I took the wood panel off under the fridge then the side facing out has the fan on the left. The remote plugged in to the case on the right hand side where it's pushed up against the venting. There was one screw on the front attaching the 9260 that I moved over a tad just get the plug in.

No my converter doesn't have a case. It sits inside the power center at the bottom. It appears a four wire pin connection goes from connector on converter to the 12v fuse board where the built in charge wizard is.

Mines a 2015 unit, not sure what's up, my unit looks just like the converter on the Progressive website, the remote plugs in to the jack on the side of the case. Maybe that's why I didn't notice a built in charge wizard I'll check next time I go to my rig. After looking at Stagecoaches battery pictures I think might be hooked up differently, I'll have to check that as well.
