what type of oil are you using synthetic or regular and brand

I use 10w 40 regular as I start my generator all winter long.

Use the factory Onan oil. There new stuff is a synthetic.

Did first change at 20 hrs with valvoline sae 30 conventional. Live in FL where it is brutally hot most of the time

Any tips on how to change the generator oil on a 2003 Sunseeker 2890 and the best online place to order filters and other related generator parts would be helpful. Thanks

I used Shell Rotella T 15w40. It is a diesel oil and the Onan manual actually recommends a diesel oil.

Mobile one high mileage 10_40 syn from wally world. Higher degree of anti wear agents. While not good for catalytic converters it does offer better protection for the genset....
