3 white rods

My 2860 came with three white non-adjustable white rods. Found them in the upper cabinet. Have no idea what they are used for. Have seen them in other RVs, but no one I have asked knows what they are for. Any idea?

rods

rods are 18 1/2" and the width of fridge is 19 1/2". The sides of the fridge have indentations where we assumed these would go, but they don't adjust.

I was thinking closet rods for hanging clothes in some of the short closets next to beds. I tried to post this once before and somehow it must have been spit out or I have irritated a moderator.

Closets

We tried the closets. They are too wide, too deep and too tall, but thanks.

They are the rods to keep your slide locked closed when your traveling. One on each side, one on top in the middle. You wedge them in after the slides are closed.

Thanks John.

Makes me wonder why the service tech who did my walk around couldn't tell me this.

If anyone has a picture of what they look like installed and the exact placement, it would be appreciated.

Didn't your dealer go over your rv and all the neat little things that came with it? Our walk through lasted for a couple of hours...and we just have a little Graywolf 19RR.

We got three with ours also but we have 2 slides. 2 are for the heavier sofa slideout and one for the bedroom. I use them on the top because driving down the road you can see some wiggle up
There.

Yes, the dealer had a tech go over the rv and we thought everything was covered, but we missed a few things.

We also have two slides, so I assume two for the sofa slide and one for the bedroom slide. I just am not clear on how they are placed yet. Will play around with it tomorrow.

Thanks for all the input.

On my last TT I had them. They go in just slightly below center, and wedge between the wall and the slide edge. The one on the top I put near the center.

I started camping in 1977 and have had many different types of RV's. After all the walk throughs, I am amazed how much some dealers don't know. I had one guy tell me the water heater would not work without water in the water tank. Hooking up to shore water wouldn't do it. I just said OK...and walked away.

This is a picture of our bedroom one. This is what I found to be the sturdiest place. After 2 years and being on the road almost every weekend the rubber slide seal has absolutely no signs of wear from the rod.

Tie a piece of brightly colored ribbon or rope to the rod and let it hang in to the living area as a reminder to remove the rod before attempting to move the slide out.
