3010DS house battery switch

Trying to find out if I should leave the battery switch in the on position or off position? Specially when plugged in at the campground

Leave it on. Let the converter keep your batteries charged. I assume you have the 2016 SS so you have the better converter.

Turn the coach battery switch off when it is in storage. Small draws like the LP/CO detector will drain the coach batteries in a few days.

I think you mean converter which is the unit that charges the batteries. I am pretty sure that the the 2013 will have a pretty good converter in it so I would say no need to upgrade at this time.We had a 2008 MH with an old converter that did fine until it failed last year. So you should be fine.

Someone with a 2013 may want to speak up about the installed converter which would give more precise info.

We have a 2013 2860DS that is plugged in and switch on, coach batteries still strong, just check the water in the batteries every 6 months.
