3010DS RV Lock
I installed this RV Lock but now there is very little room to grab the handle from inside, the screen is too close to the lock. Just looking for any possible solutions. Thanks.

It looks exactly like mine. Not sure where you’re having trouble.
There’s the moving handle to release the door latch, and then there’s a rigid vertical handle to pull the door closed.
What handle are you having trouble with?
And as far as the red locking levers.....we ONLY use the deadbolt one because the other one is keyed the same as a whole bunch of RVs.

The mechanism works great for us, it’s just that the rigid vertical handle is so close to the screen. It would be nice if there was more room to be able to grab it to close the door.

I find it a little bit easier with the screen door bar installed, I use the bar to close it to first latch then pull it tight with lock handle.

I am going to try this door strap.

It limits the end travel of the strut and stops the stripping of screws.
It stops the door from hitting to awning arm.
Best of all is using it to open and close the door. You can stand on the floor or top step, open or close the door by holding the strap. If it slips out of your hand, the strap will stop the door before the strut ( or screws )is damaged.
I never realized how awkward it is to close most MH doors. No more trying to close the door behind you while walking up the steps. Just stand on the steps and pull the door shut.

The screen door bar did the trick for us.

X2, but we installed the bar just below the window to not block the view.

Does your door have a gas strut attached to the bottom of the door also?
Your photo is aimed too high to see.

I have a gas strut on the door, but I can't remember if it's attached to the outer door or screen. I believe its the screen.

Gas struts are ALMOST always attached to the main door, because in their factory design, the screen door latch usually attaches to the main door, so both open together when you unlatch the main door.....from inside or out. Besides the screen door frames are too flimsy to deal with the forces from gas struts.

I think the intent of the strap was to prevent the door from stressing the strut mounts or hitting the awning arm when it flies open after releasing the latch. The use of the strap as a door closing aide was a secondary benefit.
I have also added the bar on the screen which does help with opening and closing the door but does nothing to prevent strut mount stress or in my case, having the door hit the slideout if it opens too far.

For sure I think the strap will look better than the pool noodles on my slide. [emoji12]

Whether it’s pool noodles for the slide or the awning arms......what about that first time you open the door, and it gets away BEFORE you get to place the pool noodle?
Don’t ask me how I think of these things.
