3011 DS 2018 Forester accordian door
Lets go back to day one of my 3011 purchase. I and DW hated the accordion fabric door into the bedroom the second we saw it. Absolutely hated it and as we used it we hated it more and more. It was the most useless item in the camper and it fought us each morning as we tried to fold it up. But it seemed to be the only thing available to use in that small space.
Two days ago i was in Lowes and i saw a selection of hard plastic accordion doors with 4" panels. On a whim i bought one and to my surprise with just a 1" change in the top track it fits in the old door's slot and is one thousand percent easier to stow away and use. It is also a neutral color that matches the camper walls. DW is happy, I'm happy because it only cost $27. and took less than an hour to install. TOUCHDOWN !
Next upgrade is insulation in the bedroom where we have walls made of 1/16 ply and no insulation. This cold weather in Florida is good for one thing, making the rig more cold/heat proof. I plan to use Reflectix on the common walls between the bedroom and the outside cabinets. Anyone have any stories about their ideas for insulation?

X3 We bought this unit because it could sleep a number of people and when we do have people over that thing is really a PITA.

I replaced our accordion "wall" with hospital style curtains with the mesh at the top. See Here. Light, easy to store, and they use the same track the original "wall". With the mesh top they don't interfere with airflow...

Mine's in storage too...so this will have to wait, I will consider the hospital curtain--I like the air flow idea, however, DW will need to make the choice.

sorry, my computer skills are none to zero. The previous picture post is the accordion door i installed from Lowes. it is 90* off, just turn your screen.
I've been at a rally and had no internet.
what you are looking at is the door retracted and stowed where the old door was. You can see that i moved the track on this end about one inch to the right and left the other end where it was. Very simple fix and looks great. Sorry i took so long to reply

this is another view, you can barely see the old hole from the original mounting, a little putty will fix the hole
