3011 DS Vs Love Travel Center .... DS lost!
So Thursday we were heading out of town and pulled into a Love's Travel Center to fill up our propane tank and the attendant bled the fill line across a hot exhaust port and turned the fill hose into a flame thrower. 12K in damages later my camping trip got canceled.
We are looking at buying a Coachman Mirada 321SS to replace out DS. Any thoughts?

Good Grief.
I hate to hear this happened, and am sorry for your loss of trip and RV. I can only imagine your feelings watching this unfold in front of your eyes.
Hopefully though, your sharing this experience may serve as a reminder to other members reading this of what can happen, and to take preventative measures.

And that is why everyone should be out of the vehicle, including the pets, when filling the propane tank.
Thank you for sharing your experience as I'm certain others will benefit from it.
Really sorry to hear what happened but glad everyone is okay.

Next time skip the why and just ask the question or all you will get are replies to the "boom" 'sorry, I can't help.

Yeah...I think you shouldn't visit that Love's again!!! Man, what a bummer. Don't know much about the Mirada, but it's a good looking unit. Good luck!

I am curious as to what or where was this "hot exhaust port" he refers to that was the source of ignition. I want to make sure that I am not overlooking something when my tanks are refilled.

I haven't been able to look at a 321ss on line...is that model numbercorrect?
That said...I am impressed with the 2018 line in terms of construction points. It would certainly be on my list if I were looking to replace my G'Town...as a line to consider...seems like they are doing things right now.
Sorry for your trouble but hopefully good things come of it!

yes, the 32SS Mirada seems to be a great Class A coach.... also consider the Mirada SELECT models, they are on a longer/higher platform with more storage and excellent quality interior detailing. Forest River COACHMEN has come a long way in the last several decades and is doing a great job in providing quality models. Warren Buffet and Berkshire Hathaway would not have made an 'investment' in them if they were not doing something right!

We had camped the night before ... all gas was off. The exhaust port was from the furnace and was still very hot.
Propane was sprayed across the port and ignited.
