I have a 2yr old 3011. The choice for batteries is a bit more complicated than just brand/price unless you have already made the decision to stay with flooded Lead Acid batteries. I am going through the process of replacing mine and you can get more detail on the thread I started.

PS. Did you previously switch out the two 12V batteries for 6V batteries?

Thanks for the reply. No, I just assumed they were 6v and just removed the cover to see they are 12v. I'll follow your thread.
