3051 slide problem

While camping last weekend, when I put the slide out, it seemed to be struggling. Then when I tried to bring it in, after about 6 inches, the front motor stopped and the rear one continued. After checking for obstructions, I tried it several more times, with with the same results. Finally, a friend pushed on the front of the slide from outside, and we finally got it in. The generator was running. This is my first slide and I've always kind of held my breath while operating it, but this is the first problem in the 14 months that we have owned it.
Has anyone else experienced anything similar, or have any ideas? Thanks, Steve

Could be something hanging up the slide. That slide is designed (to prevent major failure) to shut the motor down if there is resistance. If you let go of the button and try again, its supposed to bring the other side in until its square again.

Lippert has some pretty helpful videos.

The rubber seals on mine seemed to hang it up now and then. i had to free them up to get mine to come in the other day. Someone said to spray silicone on them. I'm going to try it.
