3051s heater issue

hello fellow rvers...we took our 2015 Forrester out for a first weekend get away...everything went rather smoothly except we couldn't get the heater to kick on. we were camping in the mountains so the heater would of helped with the chill. the airconditoner ran perfectly...anything we could of done to get it to kick on...we turned it up to 80 hoping to get it to go but no luck...any suggestions be helpful before we call the service department.thanks, keri

Furnace needs propane and 12 volts to work. Sounds like you had propane since burner on stove lit. So 12 volt needed. Battery disconnect needs to be on. Battery needs to have a good charge as furnace can deplete it rather quickly. Did it work on PDI with dealer?

If you get "nothing" from the heater, (ie no fan):

1) Check fuse in power center.
2) Check thermostat (Remove thermostat and connect the heater wire to ground) to see if the heater will start - replace thermostat if it works).
3) Check current limiter located behind grill of furnace. (see photo)

Any further troubleshooting of NO FAN will result in taking the furnace apart and/or electrical troubleshooting with a volt meter.

If this is beyond your capability, you will need to get a technician to help.

I guess it is the switch called "valve sw" in this diagram.
Says it is "N.C." (ie. normally closed)
