AC continuously run

I have a 2016 Forester, took it this weekend for the weekend getaway. Turn the AC at night and it's been running all night non stop. Isn't supposed to stop automatically once the desired temperature inside is reach and start again once the temperature inside the RV is higher than the temperature that was programmed? It was running all night.

That is how it's designed...IF...if you have the fan set on automatic. If it's set on Low, Medium or High, the fan will run continuously and the compressor portion of the A/C will shut down periodically.

You didn't indicate what type of A/C you have or what type of thermostat you have but on our current and previous fifth wheels (with Dometic A/C and thermostats) that's the case.

Check the thermostat itself and see if it says AUTO or Low, Medium or High for the fan.

You probably have the thermostat set to run instead of auto. Set it to auto. Later RJD

You may find....as in my case, if the humidity is high, and if it is set to auto, that the vent may drip.....sometimes a lot, when the fan shuts off. I leave my trailer a tad nose high, and the AC set to high under those conditions.

Mine is the 15K model.

That's really odd - we've run ours on Auto for years in very humid (Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana, East Texas and the gulf coast) and in very dry areas and never had any drip from the A/C. Glad you figured out the "nose high" solution.
