AC Operation

Second time camping in our 2801QS. In Florida so the AC has been running all day. Is it normal for the AC to turn off for about 30 seconds and come right back on. It has done this quite a few times. Have the 15000 btu with heat pump. Had a 15000 in previous travel trailer and never had this happen.

AC Operation

This has been covered many times on this forum. It has to do with the thermostat. You have it on auto, which will make it cycle from low to high. Change it to either low or high and it will stop the cycling.

Assuming you have the new digital thermostat, and assuming you're running it in Auto, it's normal for the fan to stop and restart when switching speeds. It will switch speeds when it either gets close to setpoint or gets farther away from setpoint.
