My AC unit on my 2010 3170DS crapped out tonight. What unit do I need to replace it. The markings are worn off mine Thanks

It may be a 13,500btu unit (could be 15,000). I would upgrade to a 15,000btu unit, if possible. They all fit the same 14" opening. You may have to change the thermostat and/or the Inside cover, if using a different brand or model. My 2016 Sunseeker 3010DS (sister to Forester) has a Dometic Brisk Air II. I hope this helps.

Thermostat working? Fan working? Or Do you just want a new unit?
Inside the return air duct there is a control box. There should be a label on it that will give you the info needed to get a replacement roof unit that will work with your controller, thermostat and grille. Might as well put a 15k up there. Cost diff is minimal.
YMMV

"Crapped out" tells us nothing. What's it doing? Could just be the thermostat which can be jumpered to check.

Freon line blew up. I don’t know of a way to repair it and it was 11 yrs old. Luckily I was able to get a new one today and put it in. Bought the Dometic brisk II. I upgraded to 1500 BTU. It was simple to install and did not need a new thermostat. Hardest part of the job was getting the new one onto the roof. Second hardest part was getting the old one down.
Overall a pretty easy swap out and works great
