adding water softerer

We have a 3100SS 2012 Sunseaker. Thinking of adding a flow-pur's rv-pro 10000 softener. Thinking of putting it in the drivers rear side back compartment. The well in that area would hold any leakage. The tank fill and city hook-up are close. Anyone try this? Sugestions?

also I may have to add a fill fitting to the frsh tank. What glues will work?
