Something is definitely still wrong. What make of radio is in the MH? Jentzen?
Too bad the dealer didn't try the new antenna before running the wire up to the roof! The wire connections to the radio are quite delicate, easy damaged by a ham-fisted "installer".
Early sat. antennas worked better when they had a metal plate or surface to attach to, providing a larger area for reception. The fibreglass or rubber RV roofs don't help reception.
Maybe get a second opinion at another supplier such as Best Buy, etc. Good Luck.

Sirus radio antenna do not need a ground plane or metal roof. The antenna is all internal, the preamp is inside the antenna itself.
I would try another antenna to make sure the one installed is faulty. The wire is a coax and a pinch or kink will render it useless and create loss for the signal (attenuation).

In Town you receiving the signal from a ground based repeater as opposed to the Satellite itself. I say the antenna location or the antenna itself is bad.

The Sirius XM antenna needs to be mounted on metal. It has a magnetic base for that purpose. On the roof, it could be mounted to the plate where the TV antenna is. They also make antennas that do not need to be mounted on metal. Usually they are referred to as "indoor" antennas.

I beg to differ. The antenna does not need metal to work. It can be mounted on a fiberglass roof or right on a rubber roof. I have mine mounted on the rubber roof and worked just fine. There are many posts on other RV forums with same results. Shakespeare even makes an all fiberglass antenna again no ground plane or metal required.

I am only referring to the small (1.5x1.5 inch) XM antenna that comes with the XM radio module. It has a magnetic base and requires metal to work properly. There are many other antennas that do not, including the one I currently use.

Had the same antenna/radio issues on my 2013 3010DS. My dealers electronic wizard ran a cable from the small radio roof antenna with a Y splitter to the cab radio system. Just to get the best, I put a Motorola Y spotter to the back, so basically taking advantage of both antenna. Total cost less than $100 and about half hour time
