I have a 2016 that actually comes with a Jensen navigation but in. I didn't like it so I bought a Garmin RV 660 and absolutely love it. Perfect size and works great. Amazon always has specials on it and you can get it at a very reasonable price.

I have the Pioneer now but I already had a Garmin RV760LMT which works great and I can take it with in my toad.

+3 on the Garmin, I have the RV 660 as well and Iím hoping to replace the Jensen with a Pioneer media player without navigation eventually.

i'll jump on the Garmin RV660 bandwagon as well. Based on my experience with integrated GPS systems the Garmin units win hands down.
I built a custom bracket into the dash coin box. my unit sits in the perfect position so I can keep my eyes on the road.

I did add the Sirius/XM tuner to the Pioneer head unit.

Did the Sirius set you back much or did you do the install yourself?

About $35 from amazon, with 3 free months service. I did the install myself in about 30 minutes. I ran the antenna wire behind the trim and have had it sitting in the center of the cab over area toward the front wall. Used it there all last season 9000+ miles with virtually no dropouts except where expected.

Its not worth the effort to roof mount the antenna. Unfortunately on a 3051 there is no easy way from the dash to the roof without running the cable under the chassis to the middle of the coach and up the fridge or black tank vents.

I would be interested in what you did for your mounting bracket. I have been looking at that coin holder and it looks like the perfect spot for the GPS. I currently have mine on the windshield suction cup.

If it stops raining I'll grab a pic or two.
I bent a piece of aluminum into a "U" shape to fit the opening. I removed the coin tray and riveted the bracket with a Garmin style ball attached to the inside of the coin tray.
I drilled a hole in the back of the coin tray to route the power cord through. I tapped into a ignition controlled source under the dash panel below the steering wheel for power.
The wires are hidden, the mount is very sturdy, no shaking and right where I want it.

Another use for the coin tray

Not to pirate this thread.....this is what I installed in the dash coin area. Dash still needs smudges cleaned up.

Never want a built-in GPS as the vehicle is a little hard to put in a suitcase when we fly somewhere and rent a car. Plus the Garmin easily moves from one vehicle to another.

Adding a few pictures.

The 7" monitor to the right above the radio is setup to display the rear camera, this is to keep an eye on the TOAD (also can be set to only display while in reverse). Side cameras when activated by the turn signals still display on the radio screen. Again I used a fabricated bracket which is attached under the dash facia. It can be removed with no visible holes in the woodgrain facia.
I did this to eliminate the 6-8 second delay that the Pioneer head unit causes when switching from side camera back to full time rear view. On the left of the GPS is a ScanGuage.

The Garmin 660 and others have an option for a wireless camera, I added it by the license plate so I can hook up the toad easily. My rear view mirror camera I leave on for an overall look at the toad for passing. The Garmin is stuck to the windshield but unclips so my wife can type in destinations easier. (my scan gauge is in the coin slot already)

The Garmin 660 has some pretty harsh Amazon reviews. I know any GPS is not the holy grail of directions, but some of those reviews .... wow.

Yeah I donít get it, GPSís arenít foolproof and they ultimately use the same sat data. Iíve had 4 or 5 Garmins and the 660 isnít any worse than the others, it adds features for the RV that are great but like you say I thinks itís an assist, not an infallible sole means of navigation.

I've always run w/ a trucker's atlas, a pre-determined route via google maps and printed out, and google maps running on my phone. The trucker's atlas is key for the low clearances.

Certainly any GPS can have problems. Remember to check for latitude/longitude settings for your destinations, if available, as some places list office address that can be far from the actual campground.
