Unless they recently changed I've seen a few 2017 models and interior was same as my 2016. Same colors and black appliances.

They list the outside color as "clay" which is not the two new colors, and the inside doesn't have the SS appliances. It could be that I think the one in the link is a Sun Seeker?

Thanks for the try though!

It is definitely a Forester. Forest River changes options / features whenever they want. One of the reps should be able to let you know if there are new features / options.

I did notice the different taillights on the most recent R floorplan that DeMartini has and there's an interesting panel below the kitchen window on the S that they have too.

Nevertheless Jim is right these units typically have a lot of rolling changes within a single model year. If these interior changes are indeed true, I wondering if they're following in the footsteps of the Isata 3...

2017 Forester Changes

BBogey is right about the new changes, at least how update applies to my new MH. They updated the Forester line August 1st. I have on order a 2017 Forester GTS 2431S. Below is what I was told by my rep when I placed order.

Color changes are as follows:

Interior color: Almond, Cobblestone, or Chestnut
Exterior color: Mocha or Cobalt
Wood color: Weathered Teak or Rustic Cherry

In dash Jensen has been replaced with a Pioneer Sound System. There is no option for GPS Navigation now. You will use your Smart Phone map application. I was told customers were complaining about high cost of map updates on current system, so Forest River dropped Nav option.

They also replaced the panel with switches for coach lights, pump motor, tank levels, canopy, etc with touchscreens. I was told my 2431S will have 3 screens. You can also access these functions remotely with your smart phone.

They have a GTS Premium Camping Package that has most of the options you would like to have which I chose:

Smart Phone in Coach Remote System
Stainless Steel Appliances
Heated Remote Exterior Mirrors
Back Up Camera/Side View Cameras with Monitor
in Dash Pioneer Sound System
Deluxe Wood Grain Dash
In House Entertainment System with Outside Speakers
Slide Room Toppers
Ultra Leather Drive/Passenger Seating
Solid Surface Kitchen Counter Tops
Waste Master System
Painted Skirt with Partial Graphics and Fiberglass Roof

Hope this helps answer some of the questions.

Yes, that's in line with what we heard. We were just hoping to see a pic of the inside of one of these as that's what we'll be getting.

Also, am I to understand the only nav option we'll have is the screen on our smart phone?

Hopefully the Pioneer will have the ability to sync your smart phone to use your map apps - like google maps. I just installed a Kenwood DNX 773s with Garmin GPS because I hated the Jensen maps / screen fonts. I can also sync my smart phone and use google maps if I want.

My RV rep did not say any thing about the Pioneer being able to sync to a phone, it might, but he said the smart phone was the only nav option now. I did see a picture of the cobalt full body paint that a Forest River rep sent my rv rep. It was nice looking. I was expecting an all bluish overall color, but its not.

Thanks, but LOL, I've tried that NUMEROUS times - I'll even have some come up listed as 2017, but same interior.

Love having the in-dash NAV. Doesn't make sense that the reason was "high cost of map updates ". For one thing, all NAV map updates are pricey. But beyond that, there's really no great reason to ever get an update. My 2010 Honda has never been updated and we get around fine with it.

The real reason is the Jensen radio w/GPS is a very low end unit that many of us have been complaining about. It is nice to see the upgrade and that "they" listen to our complaints.

We have found a couple of HWTs that are not on ours,,, and from what I read you have to have a Sim Card reader,,, and you have to remove Nav from the dash to get to the Sim Card + pay $80 or so !!!

We bought a 2013 Sunseeker,,, software is 2010 !!!
Not Right !!!

The comment "The Jensen unit maybe better than our Magnadyne?" may be true but they are no where near the quality of a Pioneer or Kenwood.
Also you do not have to remove radio from dash to upgrade the GPS software on the Jensen.

That would be great !!!
But from what I read you do have to remove the Magnadyne !!!
The SD card is in the rear of the unit,,, even tho there is a card slot in the front,,, but I think that is for an mp3 ?????????

Here is a brochure of the Pioneer radio. It does sync up with a smart phone to use Navigation.
