anyone using headphones for TV

I have forester 3011ds and was wondering if the Furrion TV is capable of using wireless headphones. While we are driving the TV sound is poor. I has used both the ceiling speakers and the ones on the TV and still I have poor quality to the sound. Would wireless headphones help? Has anyone tried them?

I am not familiar with that tv, however, using wireless bluetooth headphones with tv can be a little tricky as many of bluetooth solutions introduce delay causing the lip movement and sound to be out of sync.

We have a wireless headphone set up in our Lexi for my wife, but where the tv is a 12 volt, the headphones use a 120 volt outlet for the headphone stand and rechargable batteries . Only use it when we're set up using pedestal. Don't know if any headphone set up uses 12 volt.

No tv will work automatically with Bluetooth or wireless head sets. What you need is a Bluetooth transmitter which plugs into the headphone jack on your tv. About $20 on Amazon. Best one is Kapow!

Problems solved as long as your tv has a headphone jack on it

Purchased this wireless speaker for my father last week and he and my mother love it. My father would have the tv so loud it was giving my mother a headache and she would come over to our house to watch tv.

Plugs into the RCA jacks or headphone jack on the tv. Speaker is wireless and can be used up to 150' away. Sound is very clear.

I just bought these from amazon, $80. Sound great, volume control on headset (IF you tv will let you control volume seperately. You might have to change tv setup.) They use 2.4 Ghz signaling, meaning they are not line of sight. You do not want infrared signaling (IR) as it is line of sight, much like a tv controller that only works when pointed at the tv. Base unit does require 120 volt.

Flybob, the solution I mentioned above is not Bluetooth and there is no delay. The downside (in RV) is the requirement for 120 volt. I use the on my home tv. They connect via RCA Jacks and I had to change tv setup to prevent tv volume control also controlling the headset.

Do you need 120 volts for this device?

I looked at your model on YouTube and it appears that the tv is close to the area where I think your wife may be sitting to watch tv. I assume YOU, or the driver, is not watching tv at the time.

but? If you get a headset with a 8' or so cable like I did, the sound is amazing! Also, that muffles the outside noise. I bought one for about $10, no volume control as I just used the TV remote to adjust the volume. It will plug right into your tv, just look at the side or back and you'll find the headset plugin. You may get addicted to the sound however, it is far superior to the tv speakers!

You can easily add an extension cable if you opt to go wired and need more cord length.

Exclamation

Before you get to far into planning and purchasing a headset or earphones you may want to check out the law on wearing them while driving. They are illegal in many places because you can’t hear emergency signals.

We carry a MPOW 2 in 1 Bluetooth connection (Amazon) with both red/white RCA male connections, as well as the headphone jack that comes with the device. Both connections are flawless with no sound delay. We did spend a little extra $$ on the headphones and use Bose QC35 which are amazing.
Enjoy!
