Awning switch location

Hello. My wife and I purchased a 2011 2861ds. I can't remember or find the awning switches for slide out windows. I know it's on the outside of the motorhome. ...

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. If you are talking about window awnings most are mechanical and not electrically operated by switches on the outside. Yours may be different.

Thank you for the welcoming. My awnings on my bedroom and living room slider windows are definitely electric. It's a 2011 2861ds

Are you talking about the slideout covers ("awnings" that cover the top of the slideouts when they are extended)? If so, they are "spring loaded" and extend automatically with the slideouts.

Sliders slide out but awnings do not drop down to shade windows I could have swore there were 2 switches somewhere on the outside of the rig

That's what they are supposed to do - cover the top of the slideouts. No drop down over the windows.

They do make slide awnings that also shade the windows but from your photo, I don't believe you have them. Most window awnings are separate.

Here's one that does both.

The second/third photo is just a window awning and is mounted separate and while usually manually operated, they can be electric.
