I have a 2016 Forester with a RVS backup camera. It isn't working, checked the connections under the dash. All good. The co. said that the camera might be going bad. replace it. can't get wire out of hole where it is installed. can't get to the wires inside. Help.....

This may help. https://www.forestriverforums.com/fo...ml#post2631487

Lots of threads on this subject going back years. I suggest you try searching this section first to narrow it down to your model.

I don't have a Forester, I have a Sunseeker, but to get to the connector on mine I had to take the trim down in the back where the ceiling and wall meet. It wasn't tough just have to be careful and take your time. On mine the reason the connector wouldn't come through the hole was when they finished the back interior wall the connector was sandwiched between the rear fiberglass outer wall and the interior paneling. Had to be careful prying that out too. Mine was just a weak connection that was intermittent so I reinforced it with a piece of clear tubing sliced down one side, wrapped around the connector and secured with a couple wire ties. I then wrapped that in a piece of pipe wrap. Never had another issue.
