BBQ/Grill on 2860DS issues/questions

Last night we tested out the gas grill/BBQ that came with our Sunseeker 2860DS. A couple of issues:

The grill doesn't fit in the stand in a way that makes sense. The width of the grill matches the width of the stand, however the grill isn't deep enough to mate with the back side of the stand-- see attached. The width of the grille will fit into the depth of the stand, but looks wrong.

Anyone else seen similar issues?

Secondly, the quality of the grill seems no-so-high. My wife complained that the fire come out one side of the burner and cooked unevenly.

Maybe this is just a cheap thing and we need to look at replacing it with something better?

Thank you!

There are four fold down "legs" on the four corners of the grill. Fold them down and it will fit on the stand the way you are holding it in the middle picture.

Regarding the fire, lift the grate off and make sure the cover over the burner is on tight. It has four little slots on the corners that rest on four little pegs. It comes loose in transit.

My thoughts,

I have used this grill on several trips and these are my observations,
The grill will fit the frame with the legs folded out but, I find it top heavy and makes me worry when grand kids are about.
The gas line is too short. I do not like it smoking up the awning. I have looked for a longer hose, so far, no luck.

Easy to clean, easy to store. Do not use the bag.
Good heat.

I have decided to retire it for my ol'smoky, gas bottle grill for the foreseeable future.
IMHO

Cool

As stated earlier fold down the 4 legs,I shortened the two cables a little also to get a good snug fit. No problems cooking with mine.

Flames coming out one side always happens on ours when it is in a side to side out of level condition.

As discussed, grill needs to turn 90 degrees from current position in the first picture. The four legs need to be folded out.
