Bedroom TV mount in 3050s 2017

In the bedroom the 24 inch tv is mounted on a wood door. The issue was the cabinet hinge broke that locked the door in place (we replaced) but and now the hinge is sagging. So the door will not close, and it is between the two closets, so it is set in three inch, which is hard to bungeeing cord it.

We we thinking of taking off the wood door mount, and putting an hinge arm to mount the tv to the inside of the cabinet.

Has anyone else done this?

Thank you, Sharon

The 3051 uses the swinging hinge...no door. Should work fine for you.

My 2017 3051S has the same design and issue as the OP. Can you provide a picture of your set up emm-dee?

TV in view/travel position.

Inside view of hinge.

Close view of outside of hinge.

Wish I could but it came that way from the factory. You could try Continu-us at 1-855-423-2181. Indianapolis distributor for the TV.

This post will not probably help your situation that much, but I have the same TV and hinge system. I'm in the process of modifying and installing a tilting bracket so I can see the TV better. Going to do the same in the outdoor kitchen. Should make viewing a lot better.

I know here you can sell the hinge when it’s removed.

To put a tilting bracket, I see no reason to do away with the hinge. You need the hinge to get to the storage area and the back of the TV. Hand to imagine that hinge could break or cause problems. It is pretty strong. Don't know what went wrong with yours to need replacement.

Piano hinge instead of hanging the TV on the door.

Nice!
