Bigfoot control panel and other items

Second time out with brand new Sunseeker 2860DSF. Really like it but unfortunately, have had a few bugs to work out in addition to just learning the ins and outs of various systems.

One thing I've noticed is the Bigfoot leveling system control panel powers on by itself (lights come on and sometimes off) fairly often. Do others have this happen as well? I have had to disconnect and reconnect the connector on back of the control panel for other reasons so I believe the connection is secure.

Also, different issue. The GFCI has tripped a couple times in the bathroom. Can't think of anything that would have overloaded the circuit. Any thoughts or lessons learned.

Check the other ends of the Bigfoot cable. Normally mine will cycle when I turn the ignition off, but that is the only time I have noticed it.

With the GFCI don't forget it controls several other plugs down stream from it. On my Concord they have stickers on them. Could be a weak ground on one of the plugs or a loose connection causing it to trip.

First thing to check is batteries. Low batteries will cause condition you describe on bigfoot.

I also have a 2017 2860 DS with the same Bigfoot issue. Where is the power connection found for this? Where's the other end of the Bigfoot cable located?

Thanks,
Marc

Your bigfoot is run off your batteries. The cables go directly to your batteries and typically bypass your battery cutoff switch. Once batteries are fully charged you can reset control panel by disconnecting the plug in rear of control panel for 30 seconds.

Did you figure the Bigfoot issue out? Ours does the same thing but only seems to be when the furnace kicks in.

Have you found out anything yet? Our's is being looked at now. The tech said that the Big Foot panel is coming on when the furnace igniter comes on. He hopes to have it figured out my mid-week.

Thanks

Thanks for the info. We haven't picked it up yet. Supposed to do so the beginning of next week. However, I don't think the issue's been fixed because they couldn't replicate it (having it come on). The furnace connection will definitely be something I'll check out.

So, I have noticed ours lights up on it's own when first powering it up getting ready for a trip, etc., but no pump or anything. Just lights and displaying "out of level" condition. I have also noticed that at some point it goes back to sleep. I guess I always figured it was normal, doing a self check or something, making sure the legs were where they were supposed to be in case there was a bypass and one of them had crept down on its own.

Gidyupgo that is normal. Not normal to light up when the furnace kicks in.

Bigfoot not working

I have a 2016 Sunseeker and my levelers stopped working. They did come on when I cycled the ignition and gave me a low power error. I checked the batteries and found no problem. Even reset the controller. What I did eventually find when inspecting the batteries was that the main power cable for the leveling system was not connected to the breaker/fuse mounted in the battery box. The connection from batter to breaker/fuse was OK, but the output had only an empty wire lug. Found the wire in the battery box and re-crimped the terminal lug. Problem Solved.

I picked up the RV last night. They didn't do anything to fix the issue since it wasn't on for them. I should've lit the furnace to check but didn't. So, at this point, I don't know if it's still an issue or not. With the weather being nice, hopefully we'll take it out in the next couple weeks and see how things work.

Just talked to the dealer. Between them and Forest River, they have decided to replace the furnace control panel and see if that fixes the issue. Something about the frequency coming off the the panel. Hopefully we will know more next week.

Furnace panel has finally arrived and dropped off the RV at the dealer. I will be real surprised if that fixes the issue. Big Foot suggested moving the sensor. Only time will tell.

Well, I guess I will add this to my dealer's work order for the annual visit. Someone must have an answer.
