We often travel with the rv still winterized the first day.

The wife puts a gallon of water in the shower basin to use if the toilet is necessary!

We then fill everything up at our first stop.

I laid out some milk and mackerel for the wights and apologized for my negligence.

I connected city water and asked my wife to check each faucet and the toilet. All worked fine. I disconnected city water and started filling the FW tank.
My wife said the FW tank volume was going up and the BW and GW tanks were holding. With the FW tank indicating 1/3, she turned on the pump and again tried all faucets and the toilet. Everything worked fine.
So, we're leaving on time tomorrow.

Kinda feel like running my borescope through it.
Must have been the milk and mackerel that did it.
I'm with you. Why a half open FW drain valve would cause this is a head scratcher.
Safe journey.

Ain't buying it. Holding tanks are only connected to 3 things: drains/dumps/vents. The BT may have one other connection but that is to a self-contained independent flush system. How can any external water connection input get to the drains without going thru a faucet/toilet. Pure magic.

Tomkatb, we do exactly the same thing for short-notice trips.

I'm with ya bubbles. I'm only the messenger, I tells it as I sees it.
It's still a puzzle, but closing that valve returned the system to normal ops.

Isn't there a factory engineer on these forums?

So 1st off, some FR Lexingtons , my 300SS bathroom sink definitely drains to black tank.
2nd, is it possible that your toilet valve stuck open and if your 12v pump was turned on , this would cause the fresh tank to empty and black to fill?

Did you by any chance hook up the fresh water hose to thank flush inlet (they look the same)??

I still think it's gremlins.
There is no way for the FW fill to divert to the black and grey tanks. The FW fill port goes straight int the fresh water tank and nowhere else. If you screwed the hose on you are on the flush port. Walk yourself back through the process. You said you do this every year with no problem, you are doing something wrong this year.
