black tank flush
We were winterizing our 2018 3011 DSF. When we attached a hose to the black tank flush, no water came out after a minute or so. We have flushed many times before and knew something wasn't right. We shut the water off to the hose and I could see water running onto the ground on the opposite side of the motor home. I went in to find the bedroom and shower area flooded with water. We cleaned up and then found that the storage compartment with the water pump was also flooded. We tried looking under the motor home but it seems everything is sealed. We are also in our upper 70's and crawling around under a motor home is not easy for us. We will need to hire someone to repair this and was wondering if there is any type of diagram for the plumbing system that might help them.

Unfortunately, plumbing diagrams do not exist for most models of R/Vs.
You have likely experienced a bad anti-siphon/check valve for the black tank flush.
I don't want to say it is a common problem but there are several others who have experienced the same issue as you.
Often times this anti-siphon/check valve is located under the bathroom sink or an area near that. Whan they go bad/leak they flood the vanity or wherever it is located. (sometimes behind a shower wall)
It is almost always a plastic valve (from the factory) and looks like what I posted in the photo below. They are not hard to change but are directional so be sure to install it correctly. Many replace them with a better quality brass valve. Some folks simply remove it and couple the lines together. if you do so, you should use an inline check valve on the supply hose to eliminate contaminating the supply water if there is a catastrophic pressure loss while flushing.

Not under sink
I went right over to the storage yard and checked and there wasn’t a valve like that under our bathroom sink. It must be under the bed. I checked the storage compartment either the water pump and it isn’t there. No way I can see to get in around or behind the shower. Will next put the bedroom slide out and look under the bed. If anyone else has found it in a 3011 days please let me know.

This was in another thread in the Sunseeker section... perhaps you have something similar.

I have looked for the described valve in out 2020 Sunseeker and have not found it. I see the feed line for the black tank flush leaving the tank and disappearing up through a floor penetration, but I see no valve accessible in any interior cabinetry. I have looked under the sinks, oven, behind wardrobe drawers, even above the furnace. Perhaps they buried in an interior wall and it’s not accessible without requiring some wall panel disassembly.

See if there is an accessible area directly inside from where the flush hookup is. The valve should be very close to that.

black tank flush valve
Does anyone know where I can locate the anti-siphon/check valve for the black tank flush on a 2018 Forester 3011 dsf motor home. It is broken and flooding the motor home when we tried to use it. Just can't find it to repair or replace it.

I believe it’s under the bathroom sink.

Run your black tank flush and listen inside your unit. My check valve/vacuum breaker SOUNDS LIKE it’s in the wall of my Wildcat 5er behind the shower enclosure!

I too have recently discovered this problem. I just tried the tank flush on our new-to-us 3170, only the find no flow. I will look for our check valve or vacuum breaker tomorrow. Is it possible that it is integral to the hose connection port, similar to the city water connection?

The last time we ran it it flooded the bedroom floor and filled two storage compartments with water. So I am thinking it may be under the bed. Will pull the slide out and lift the bed and see. Since we are in storage and have no water available, it would be difficult to run water to find it.

The only other place I can think it might be is behind the access in the shower, under the shower faucet valves there is an access panel (round). Sorry our’s is in storage so I can’t check.

Thank you all for your advice. I'll check out the shower tomorrow and see if it is there.

I looked in the access hole under the shower, and I looked behind the shower and behind the fresh water tank, as visible when removing a drawer on the bed base. Nope. I have a feeling the valve is buried inside a wall near the coat closet on the passenger side, with no access plate available to reach it.

Should not need to look low. It must be above the “non fresh” water outlet that it feeds. That is why the vacuum breaker on the toilet is raised up in the back behind the seat. The black tank flush vacuum breaker will be above the flush nozzle ... somewhere.
