Bugs Bugs Bugs. Do I care?
Just spent about 5 hrs getting bugs off front cap again. Two week trip to Ozarks, 1800 miles and I'm convinced there are no more bugs left in Arkansas !
Maybe a bug spattered front cap should be a sign of pride ? What do you think?

Bug fluid and bird droppings are acidic and will eat through the paint, so..
Wash it.
Before the next trip try a thin coating of baby oil.

I thought a coat of wax, not polished, did the trick? Anyway happy that ours came with a protective film on the front at "no charge" - won't stop the bugs but will protect the paint. BTW bug remover products are good but so is very hot water! (So hot you need to use gloves.) Let it soak or throw a hot water rag on an area for a couple of minutes. Save on elbow grease.

Wet dryer fabric softener sheets also work well for removing bugs.

X2 on the dampened fabric softener sheets...works wonders! And leaves the unit smelling nice!

Don't overlook a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser either. It works great for jobs like this.

Magic Erasers are abrasive and will take off the wax, clear coat and paint very quickly if not careful. They will also leave a residue. I would consider other options and only use a Magic Eraser as a last resort.

Get a can of Dow Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner. Spray it on the "buggy" area, out of the sunlight. Let it sit 5 minutes. Brush off with a brush'pole set up and some water to dip it in.
Works better than any commerical bug remover, lot lot lot easier than attacking each bug with a dryer sheet, and works better too.
Also removes black streaks, and will not hurt finish. Also safe on glass if it gets on windshield.

x3. Learned about this a few years ago. It works really well if you get a clean, empty spray bottle and put a dryer sheet in it. Then, fill the bottle about ¾ full and shake it to mix. Spray the solution on the affected area and let it sit about five minutes. Spray again when you start rubbing the fresh sheet. Bugs just about run away.
I also noticed that if you let the bottle sit for several days the dryer sheet disappears. For that reason I always start the process with a fresh mix.

Best I've found for bugs on my RV is Seafoam Bugs-B-Gone. Find it at most auto stores. Buy it, you won't be sorry!

Go to the Dollarstore and get a spray bottle of "Awesome" - and that is what it is. Spray on, wipe off! Take a guess at the
price

Careful with Awesome...great for cleaning mold off awnings but some have reported it has done a number on paint surfaces and decals. I am not speaking from experience, but simply from what I have read in other posts.

We live in the bug capital of florida. We use hydrogen peroxide in a spray bottle. Spray the fresh bug splats and it will foam them away. The hydrogen peroxide will break down the proteins leaving a foamy area where the bug was just wipe off no scrubbing the solution will not affect your wax or paint job.

I use a polimer polish called 'Rejex' available on the internet bugs wash off with rain or water and light scrubing

As stated above hydrogen peroxide works great, apply and then wash it off.

I used Awesome to take black streaks on our old Mallard TT. Took of the streaks, the decals, the paint... We had a white trailer with silver spots, but no streaks!

Wandering -- I have a question, what set up did you use to have full access to the fairing for clean up? I work from the top and the sides but still struggle to reach the center over the hood!
