cabover floor structure

Hi, does anybody have any knowledge of what is under the deck on my sunseeker 2650 DS cab over? fixed a roof leak and may have some moisture underneath. Would like to add a few soffet vents to help dry out and to see if there is any standing water under there without removing the floor.

water under cabover platform

Ducky, I think the damprid would work once I open up a hole to see what going on under the deck. right now it is coming up from a very small seam where the plywood comes together. Would like to drill a 3 inch hole to explore then install a round sofet vet to vent.

under the cab outside is fiberglass and Azdel, with aluminum frame and block insulation, 1/2 plywood and decorative dcor board on the interior. Everything is laminated together to form one solid structure.

I hope this helps.

Thumbs up water under cabover platform

Kary, Thanks for the information. Should there be some room between the aluminum frame to drill a 3 inch hole. Do these supports run from front to back? Would you know the center to center spacing? We have had this unit 10 years and basically trouble free, very happy with it.

Thanks for your help much appreciated

if you send me a PM with the last 6 of your vin and model number I will see if I can dig up a drawing and send. I'm traveling most of next week so it may take a few days.

Kary, I found a yellow sticker on the left door jamb with these numbers:

Vin #4X4MSSC24BF020332
1FDXE4FS7BDA05624

My model is 2650DS I believe. 28ft long one slide.

I believe Jeff in Technical support was trying to find this also. One other thing I may need is the part number for the screen door latch? Our local dealer was trying to get this fore me and I never heard back from them. it has a cutout on one side so a generic assembly wont fit. Again thanks for all your help.
