It works fine for cable TV.
We also have a cable input on the passenger exterior wall near the exterior AC plug.
Have not yet figured out what it is for. Cable TV does not work through it and
have not been able to get my satellite receiver to work through it.
I just run the satellite cable through a window.
Good Luck.
I believe that is for an exterior tv. It is an output not an input.

Are you SURE that is an input?
Most coax connections near an outlet is an output so you can plug in a tv and then connect it to the antenna or cable via the coax connector.

Welcome to the forum. That cable connector is to hook up a TV outside. There should be a 115VAC outlet and a 12VDC outlet near by to power a TV as well.

You should have a satellite connection on the roof. It usually terminates near the cable box and is labeled SAT. I've never used ours but I've seen it.

It is for connecting an exterior television and being able to use your antenna for reception.
