By draft snake do you mean "pool noodle"? How do you cut them?

The draft snake is used to put at the bottom of a door to stop drafts. DW got hers from bed bath and beyond. She has 2 in front of the couch.
We use pool noodles on the outside. Cut to different lengths. I crafted short sections for the gear tracks. I have 5 sections of pool noodles.

Only one hiccup, the back slide won't slide out now. We slid it in yesterday and then went to slide it out and it stops a foot out and makes a terrible metal scratching noise in the rear in the bedroom. So I'm guessing it's a little off track? But she's winterized now which was really easy.

Garrette thanks for the info on the draft snakes. Did you need to cut or trim the noodles for anything other than length? Did you just push them in the area covered by the rubber flap on the slides? Just trying to picture how to go about it. Thanks again.

I pushed them in along the bottom only. This is an area that is not sealed very well. The sides and top are sealed well enough that they do not require anything. This weekend, I will try to post a few pics to help explain.
