Can the LED lights be dimmed

I just purchased a 3017 3051S Forester that has the control panel for all systems. Is there a way to program the lights to be dimmed?

Can the LED lights be dimmed

Not sure if they changed as ours is 2014 3051S but the ones in our living area (ceiling above dinette and jack knife are on a dimmer that is on the control panel. Assuming the rest are the same type of lights I would think dimmer could be added.

I hate the bright blue led lights in my 3051! It's obnoxious! Did you find a fix for the lights? Are there replacement led bulbs that are warmer?

Not yet. When I take it in for servicing, I will be asking. I will post the response.

Dim - in Theory Yes but...

LEDs are not like incandescent bulbs where you lower the voltage (current) and the bulb filament cools (dims). LEDs have no filament. They can be dimmed by inserting a variable resister in series with the power lead but some lights will go out while others are still lit due to slight differences in the voltage drop across the LEDs.

They are not bulbs that can be unplugged. They are soldered into a circuit with a current limiting resistor for every fixture/switch.

If it bugs you having a blue light, put a piece of electrical tape over it or perhaps paint to darken it. We use the water pump and water heater switch lights with the stereo LED display for night lights.

YES , LED Dimmers are available from Camping World. Simply enter the word "dimmer" in the CW search field.

Are you talking about the ceiling and under cabinet lights?

Those lights in our 3051 are bright white. So bright I can't look directly at them when they're on! I suppose they could be on the blue side of the light spectrum, certainly not a warm light.

We use a 3-way warm-white bulb in a table lamp on the dinette table unless we're cleaning or looking for a misplaced item.

Hope you can find a solution.

I think that's what I'll have to stick too - our table lamp with a warm led light bulb in it. [emoji16]

You will need to replace the bulb with an LED that is designed to be dimmed, then put a dimmer switch in.
As others stated, LEDS are not like old bulbs.

I think I want warmer replacement led lights - is that doable rather than getting a dimming switch?
