Back when gas was $4.50 a gallon in the USA, gas thieves crawled under the vehicle and drilled a hole in the gas tank. If a thief wants your gas, a locking cap won't help.
Are you worried about contamination from vandals?
Many new vehicles don't have a cap, just a flap for the nozzle.
