Changing to recliners in 3011DS

Have a 2016 3011DS. I would rate the couch as acceptable but nothing to brag about. Thinking of changing it out to .the dual recliners I've seen (on here and then doing some google search).

Anyway, has anyone done this? is it hard to do (i.e. easy, sort-of-easy, somewhat difficult, difficult, get someone else to do it). What all is involved?

Any idea or suggestions where I might get the seats?

Our current trailer was ordered with the standard couch deleted. We bought a nice pair of recliners from Lay-Z-Boy. They were delivered to the storage lot where we were keeping the trailer and put in place by the delivery guys. So far we are very happy with them.

The wife and I replaced the sofa in our Surveyor TT with a dual recliner loveseat from Living Spaces. Hated the jackknife sofa, love the new one and it was half the price of regular RV furniture.

I would think the only issue would be securing the new seating down!

We ordered ours with the duel recliners and find them much more comfortable than most RV couches ! I'm sure after market recliners would even be more comfortable !

We changed our sofa out for 2 recliners we purchased in Shipshewana, IN. Works great!

We just replaced the sofa in our 2016 3011DS with a reclining loveseat from Ashley furniture. We took out the existing sofa in parts (easy to disassemble). Ashley delivered the loveseat and was able to get it thru the door in one piece as they reclined both sides and it went right in. The loveseat we purchased has zippers to take out the stuffing in the arms which made it easier for clearance. (The door is only 30 inches wide).
I then used the existing seat belts and wrapped them around the front of the loveseat frame to hold it in place and then secured the back of the loveseat frame with brackets that I picked up from Home Depot. Took about an hour for total install.

We have a 2017 DS 3011. At time of purchasing the motorhome off the dealer lot, we negotiated to have the couch replaced by the "theater seats". These were ordered by the dealer from Forest River (and subsequently installed by the dealer). We are happy with the seats, with the only issue being that there is a shelf under the window behind the seats The shelf extends out the width of a cup holder when you recline the seats, the seatback recline distance is restricted a few inches due to hitting the shelf (which could be removed).

We went to local furniture store and bought Recliner Theater Seat that had two separate recliners connected to armrest counsel in middle w/storage and cup holders. It worked great and was big improvement. Much more comfortable. Install was easy as we had a dinette configuration and just unbolted the table and bench seating. Took a couple of hours to sort out taking it apart.

Easy fix using Theater Recliner Seats. We simply bolted them down using Plumber strapping and bolts in the floor.

We have two lazyboy recliners in our DS3010 Sunseeker We secure them with the seat belts when traveling, which allows us to move the recliners around at our destination Works well.

It is a 2 people job. The couch can be disassembaled easily and will fit out the door. A lot of recliners can be taken apart and fit through the door and if they can't come apart put them in the recline position and fit them through the door. My wife and I did it on two different fifth wheels.

We just purchased our 2017 3010DS and it had the recliners. They are wonderful!!
